Doing Things Quickly

Sometimes doing things fast, is not always the proper answer.

Society today craves fast relief, even if it's only temporary. It's as if we simply cannot buckle down and accept the fact that our society along with our political system has been severely damaged by a number of forces currently destabilizing the United States, and The World. While Covid till presents a global issue, I believe that the attempted coup (or insurrection) lead by our former President (Donald Trump) has weakened our standing in the world, as a superpower.

While "think globally and act locally", used to be the rallying cry for those people seeking to change The World; I'm beginning to wonder if people power (or grass root movements) will ever be enough to tip the scales to bring the world (along with the United States) out of this rapidly increasing downward direction.

I believe individuals need to find some way to amplify their voices of dissatisfaction. The corporate stranglehold exercised by The Super PACs (Political Action Committees) on the way politicians get elected via expensive political commercials on TV and elsewhere on the internet, has gone way too far.

One solution would involve allocating money to candidates for election expenses advertising to both parties along with election funds being allocated to a third independent party. I have previously seen forms where US citizens can simply check a box to pay a dollar to the elections. It's complex yet I believe is doable. This would need to be established to diminish the role the corporate interests play in the US political process. The example of global climate change (previously- global warming) was always denied by the political party that favors big business (GOP) and that denial has lead to so much instability in the weather, wreaking so much havoc in our world.

I hope do my individual part, by getting others to participate in a written revolution aimed at changing the way we think, and act regarding US politics and it's impact on the world.

Sharing A Poem With A Hot Link

Below is a poem that I have borrowed from a potential competitor who's understanding of website development, according to what I have found here:

Manifesto for the self-employed

We love the brave.
The independent.
The doers.
Those who blaze their own trail.
Take chances.
Try again.
People like you.

You have an idea,
a goal,
your own business.
You have the courage
to start from nothing,
the strength to take care of everything,
and the pride to stand up for what you’ve put your name on.

We see you.
We know what it’s like
to put your heart and soul in every move,
and that a few personal words can be worth
as much as a successful week.

And we know
about the dominance of the big players
and the everyday hurdles that stand in your way.

But you’re not alone.
We are here.
We are your team.

We’ll help you,
to unleash your power,
to go your own way,
and achieve your own goals.

Is Website Development A Lucrative Enterprise?

The answer to this question involves some basic risk vs reward questions, of course along with all the usual pros and cons.

Due diligence is a term that one hears when someone is considering making an investment in a particular business. When considering if website development could be a lucrative enterprise, one needs to consider first and foremost the technical nature of website building and if you have a high enough tolerance for technical information in minutia.
